10 Things You Shouldn't Ask Your Admin to Do

April 12, 2016

Who’s the most underappreciated, indispensable person in your office? Got it? Stop reading for a second and send them an email saying “thank you!” We’ll wait here…

Done? Good.

In a few weeks, we’ll be celebrating one of those underappreciated, indispensable office heroes: the Administrative Professional. He or she may be called by many titles—the admin, the assistant, the receptionist, the secretary, the master multitasker, the problem-solver, you name it—but by all names, this person keeps your office running smoothly, your employees and colleagues organized and happy, and your customers and clients informed and appreciated. But sometimes, they do a host of other things for their bosses that not only go above and beyond the call of duty, but that deserve a double-take.

To gear up for Administrative Professional’s Day on April 27, we asked a group of admins what the craziest thing they’d ever had to do for their job was, and we got some interesting responses. We chose our 10 "favorites" below—so it’s time to pick your favorite! Which admin do you think had the craziest task?

The poll is closed! Stay tuned to the Staples Business Advantage blog on Admins' Day for the results!
