4 Ways to Say Thanks to Your Customers

Customer Appreciation

The end of the year is always an exciting time, full of busy schedules, personal plans and year-end wrap-ups. It can be a challenge to make yourself heard among all the excitement, but you want to make sure your customers know how much you appreciate their partnership over the past year. So how do you thank your customers? You can show your appreciation in a lot of different ways.

  1. Put a new twist on an old classic. The holiday card is a tried-and-true method of letting your customers know you’re thinking about them and thankful for them. Thinking of sending an e-card? With at least one-third of people experiencing email burnout, adding yet another email to their inbox is more of a burden than a benefit, and can result in you getting lost in the shuffle. Take the time to pick out a custom, personalized card that resonates with your business’s values and culture, and don’t rush the message—come up with something sincere, creative and unique for the biggest impact.
  2. Gifts are for more than just kids. Gifts seem like a given when the holidays come around, but they’re not just for office swaps and family get-togethers. Consider surprising your customers by thanking them with a logoed gift! Not sure what will leave the best impression? Branded t-shirts are one of the most powerful promotional items you can give, and you’ll love how many people will wear them. The best part is, logoed and promotional gifts give you the flexibility to choose from things like handy tech gadgets or fun, industry-specific items.
  3. Throw a party – Who doesn’t love to celebrate a successful year? Take customers, add in some snacks and giveaways, and enjoy yourself. Having an open house is a great way to say thanks to your customers while also giving them the opportunity to network with one another. This can also be a good way to showcase your office—give your office design a few tweaks (or a major overhaul) and use the space to show off your products or other examples of the great work you do! You can even decorate with signs or banners that highlight your company’s top successes of the year. Branded gift wrap and bows can add a great finishing touch to any present.
  4. Start early – This applies to any actions you decide to take to thank your customers this holiday season. Whether you’re sending a card, popping by with a gift, hosting a bash or going all out to do all three, start early and depend on your suppliers and business partners to help you make it happen. Good partners can help you achieve your holidays goals creatively, uniquely, and on budget if you start planning with plenty of time left in the year.

So what are you waiting for? It might seem like the end of the year is far away, but it’s never too early to plan how to say thanks to the customers who make your business successful.
